MNM Home Care Aide Training Graduates 100% of May 2013 Class
NOAH Thanks Pastors for Advocating Financial Freedom
On May 24, Mercy Neighborhood Ministries’ Home Care Aide Training (HCAT) program graduated 100% of
the students who enrolled in the class on May 6.  The three-week HCAT training program trains and
certifies individuals for entry into the home care aide field.  The intensive program requires students to
attend every class and pass 21 tests and master 21 home care nursing skills.  Nineteen students
received their certificates making it the largest class in HCAT history.  Eight of the 19 graduates were
sponsored by home care agencies, and one student, who is already working as a home care aide, received
her certification.  The remaining ten graduates have job interviews scheduled.

MNM HCAT graduates:  Keyana Berry, Emad Boules, Zerlina Bush, Ramiah Chapman, Christen Cooley,
Alpha Frierson, Leah Greer, Lakisha Ingram, Ieishia Leathers, Jasmine Macon, Elizabeth Maggard,
Kadisha Pasha, Ambriel Reed, Marilyn Shreffler, Yvonne Sullivan, Robin Sweet, Hope Turnage, Darmichia
Walker, and Courtney Watkins.

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit, promotes the empowerment of individuals
and families through programs that address their immediate needs, foster self-reliance, promote holistic
health, and advocate for social justice.

Congrats and High-fives to the graduates and MNM!

Networking Ohio to Affordable Housing (NOAH) recently
hosted a Pastor Appreciation Brunch and awards
ceremony to thank pastors who opened their church
doors, over the past years, to NOAH's financial freedom
workshops.   The appreciation event was held at
Mahogany's At the Banks in downtown Cincinnati.

"These pastors had the foresight to help their
congregations and members of the community at-large
learn how to adjust to the recent financial crisis and
survive and even thrive and lay a good foundation for
the next generation," said Jennifer Valentine,
executive director of NOAH. "These pastors opened
their hearts and their churches to provide a place for
the financial literacy classes to be held, and to give
people struggling financially encouragement and hope."
