Annie Ruth and the My Daddy Reads Team are excited to present the first annual Dad’s Night Out
Weekend that will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016, Saturday June 18, 2016 and Sunday, June 19, 2016
at New Prospect Baptist Church [Summit Center] in Roselawn.
"Dads' Night Out" is a partnership with other arts, education and fatherhood organizations in
Cincinnati to share a culturally relevant and quality arts experience that entertains the entire family
in a fun and nurturing environment. Event made possible thanks to an Engage Cincy Challenge grant.
Dad’s Night Out Weekend offers an array of FREE positive reinforcement, personal development,
education and networking opportunities geared toward fathers and families. Fathers, father figures
and fathers in transition, all enjoy this dynamic weekend of events, not only with highly recognized
presenters, but also with outstanding opportunities to network with other fathers and positive male
role models in the community.
The goal of Dads’ Night Out is to create enriching diverse arts and learning experiences during
Father's Day weekend that will positively impact the lives of fathers and children- particularly Black
fathers and families - marginalized in poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
Although celebrating dads, moms are not excluded and single moms encouraged to bring a positive
man with them and the children for the family night concert.
