Beat winter chill by thinking warm thoughts and preparing for
your spring garden! Back by popular demand is the Cincinnati
Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 2014 Landscaping for the Homeowner
Series, beginning January 18.
For the past 20 years, Steve Foltz, Director of Horticulture at
the Cincinnati Zoo, has put together a series of landscape
classes for the home gardener. The classes take the homeowner
through the process of looking at your landscape the way a
professional Horticulturist would. The process takes you from
design, where most long term mistakes are made, to plant
selection and ultimately to care and maintenance of your
landscape. Classes focus on everything from tree care, to
colorful annuals, and everything in between.
“If you want to know the most efficient way to manage your
landscape, this series is for you,” said Foltz. “And, if you are
tired of not having success with your plants or if you are
looking for the best plants for your yard, sign up today.”
