Magnified Giving Record Grant Giving to Local Charities
iSPACE Receives Duke Energy Foundation Grant
Magnified Giving, whose mission is to educate, inspire and engage students
in life-long philanthropy, concluded its 2016 Student Philanthropy program
by providing grants totaling $103,358 to benefit 82 local charities, some of
which received multiple grants.  The 2016 program included sixty-one (61)
middle and high schools in the region, involving more than 3,000 students
in the process of evaluating non-profits and making informed choices to
award funding.

“This is an exciting milestone for Magnified Giving’s mission,” stated Kelly
Collison, Executive Director. “We’re delighted to have passed the $100,000
threshold in grants issued this year, as it reflects the growth of our program,
our impact and the engagement of schools and students in this life-changing
effort.

Magnified Giving’s program allows participating students to see the needs
of local non-profits, and to use funds provided by Magnified Giving to
provide grants to the charities that they assess and select.  Students at more
than sixty regional high schools implemented this program throughout the
school year.  The goal is to transform students to become life-long
philanthropists.

non-profit organization serving the Greater Cincinnati Region.  iSPACE
makes learning exciting by providing engaging Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs to schools, families and the

Envision Children Hosts Academic
Summer Enrichment Program
Vincent Rey, Bengals' Linebacker #57, and seven other Bengals players
conducted a football clinic for more than 70 children, ages 4-10 years old at
Envision Children's Academic Summer Enrichment Program. The football
clinic took place at Winton Woods Intermediate School in Forest Park.

"Football is a big part of my life, and I love teaching young people about the
game," Rey said. "But we also want to make sure they understand the
importance of teamwork and listening to authority figures. Those concepts
will help them succeed in school and later in their work and family lives."

The other Bengals who instructed the children in the basics of football that
day were: Darien Harris, Nick Vigil, Gianni Paul, Floyd Raven, Shawn
Williams, Darqueze Dennard and Dezmond Johnson.

"The Bengals taught the kids the basics of the sport of football - the object of
the game, the rules, positions and other facts," said Sheryl McClung
McConney, founder and president of Envision Children.  "The kids did
drills, learned how to throw and catch the football and other activities.
Before each student could run on the field to take part in the clinic, he or
she had to correctly answer an academic question related to football."

The Academic Summer Enrichment Program, which runs June 1 – July 22
this year, has the theme "Sports and Academics." The program teaches
students concepts in math, science, reading and social studies as it relates
to six different sports: football, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis and
soccer.

High-fives to all who are making the Envision Children Academic Summer
Enrichment Program a success!
