'Red Carpet Casino Night' Fundraiser A Success
|
More than 400 people attended and gross receipts of about $40,000
was raised at Envision Children’s Red Carpet Casino Night Fundraiser
at Prime Cincinnati last month. The event -- which featured
tremendous food, gambling tables, a fire performer, caricature
artists, a live band, an auction and fabulous prizes -- was an
overwhelming success.
All receipts, after expenses, will go to support Envision Children’s
programs – specifically, the Book of the Month Club (which provides
students with a new book of their own every month), curriculum
development, classroom supplies and materials and private tutoring.
“The event was a great success for Envision Children, with nearly
400 people attending the Red Carpet Casino Night in its first year,”
said Matt Hughes, Envision Children’s director of operations. “Prime
Cincinnati staff provided top notch service, food and beverages. The
Cincinnati Circus Company did what they do best--entertained
people and made sure everyone had a fun evening out. It’s definitely
going to be a yearly event.”
Event sponsors were: Prime Cincinnati, Patrice & Associates,
Systems Evolution, Inc. (SEI), Premier Mail & Fulfillment and
Advocacy and Communication Solutions. Event partners were The
Cincinnati Herald, Warm 98, Channel 5 WLWT-TV, Ultimate Air
Shuttle, Paolo A Modern Jeweler and Kurtzman Plastic Surgery.
“The high points of the evening were Chef Shawn Heine’s amazing
food, beautiful ice sculpture heaping with large shrimp, along with
the fire performers outside the restaurant and the casino tables,”
Hughes said. “People were thrilled by the fire eating craps dealer.
And I heard it again and again all evening – that it was a lot of fun,
and they can’t wait to come back next year.”
