Annie Ruth and the My Daddy Reads Team are excited to present the first
annual Dad’s Night Out Weekend that will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016,
Saturday June 18, 2016 and Sunday, June 19, 2016 at New Prospect Baptist
Church [Summit Center] in Roselawn.
"Dads' Night Out" is a partnership with other arts, education and fatherhood
organizations in Cincinnati to share a culturally relevant and quality arts
experience that entertains the entire family in a fun and nurturing
environment. Event made possible thanks to an Engasge Cincy Challenge
grant.
Dad’s Night Out Weekend offers an array of FREE positive reinforcement,
personal development, education and networking opportunities geared
toward fathers and families. Fathers, father figures and fathers in transition,
all enjoy this dynamic weekend of events, not only with highly recognized
presenters, but also with outstanding opportunities to network with other
fathers and positive male role models in the community.
The goal of Dads’ Night Out is to create enriching diverse arts and learning
experiences during Father's Day weekend that will positively impact the
lives of fathers and children- particularly Black fathers and families -
marginalized in poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
Although celebrating dads, moms are not excluded and single moms
encouraged to bring a positive man with them and the children for the
family night concert.

iSPACE, the premier provider of STEM (science, technology, engineering
and math) learning in the Greater Cincinnati Region, has been awarded a
$15,500 grant by Ingage Partners as part of their Social Impact Fund Award.
iSPACE will be using these funds for their IGNITE Engineering program. In
addition to the grant iSPACE will receive 200 pro bono hours of
management and technology consulting expertise.
iSPACE, piloted the IGNITE Engineering program at Roselawn Condon and
Hartwell elementary schools in the 2014-2015 school year. iSPACE staff or
volunteers visited classrooms weekly and use LEGO to teach the students
about physics and engineering. iSPACE will follow the same cohort of 130
students through the end of sixth grade to determine if students
introduced to STEM-related LEGO programs – science, technology,
engineering, math – early and consistently, develop skills and interest in
STEM and pursue those avenues in high school and beyond.
Ingage Partners was created to provide an opportunity for professionals to
blend their careers with their desire to make a difference in the
community. Ingage Partners envisioned a company whose values were
based on the idea of earning profits as a way toward the greater goal of
doing good. By leveraging trusted industry relationships and extensive
consulting experience, Ingage Partners has become a thriving example of
business for good.
High-fives iSPACE and Ingasge Partners!
